Dog Friendly Vacations

Dog Friendly Vacations
While on vacation, pet parents can go through as much separation anxiety as the pets do, worrying ourselves about how our pet is coping without us. We speak from experience! The solution? Take Fido on vacation!

Research shows that almost a third of holiday-makers base their trip on how suitable it is for their dog. Cruises, ferries and airlines are all accommodating certain pets on board now. Greek ferries even have dog friendly cabins. Some cruises have a dog 'nursery' with activities and play space. There is also a growing list of dog friendly hotel chains, and dog friendly cottages through Air Bnb.

If your dog is vaccinated against rabies and has a microchip and health certificate, the world is his oyster because dog friendly vacations abound.

Dog Friendly Hotel Chains

Hotel chains all over the world are rolling out the red carpet for you and your best friend. We’ve done the leg work to find the 22 most dog friendly hotel chains in Europe, USA, and all over the world along with their pet policies. You never know, your favorite chain might be on the list!

Dog Friendly Air BnB

With so many rent-by-owner listings, hotel chains are no longer your only option. For dog owners, a house in the countryside might be more suitable for your pooches, with a veranda to hang out on, a garden to play in, and hikes and country walks at your doorstep.
To find out if an Air BnB listing is dog friendly, scroll down to the House Rules section of the listing’s description. If it’s dog friendly it will state that here. It is also a good idea to contact the host about your dog because some have restrictions.
To find listings where dogs are allowed:
  1. Go to airbnb.com and click Homes
  2. Click More filters at the top of the page
  3. On the More filters page, scroll to the bottom of the page and under House rules, check the Pets Allowed box

Dog Friendly Cruises
